ɔ

Rudyard Kipling, the famous English writer, was born in Bombay,
India, where his father, a professor, worked at that time. Rudyard
spent his early years in India. When he was six years old, his parents
sent the boy to England, where he  went to school.
Kipling came back to India when he was seventeen  years old. At twenty-one he published his first book of  poems. A year later he wrote a book of short stories.
Between 1887 and 1899, Kipling visited many countries and lived for some years in America, where he married an American girl. During that time he wrote some of  his best works. These were his children’s stories about
animals and some books on history. He also wrote poems.
At the end of his life Kipling lived in a small village in England.

Their     ‘  names  are  ↑What  and Why  and  ↑When,

And  ↑ How   and  ↑Where  and    ↓Who.

I      ‘ send   them  over   ‘  land  and ↑ sea

I       ‘ send   them  ↑East  and   ↓West

But         ‘ after  they  have  ↑worked    for   me,

I        ‘ give  them      ‘ all   a ↓ rest.

I       ‘ let  them      ‘  rest   from    ‘nine    till  ↓ ‘five.

For   I   am   ‘busy    ↓then.

As  well  as  ↑breakfast,  ↑lunch and  tea

‘For  they    are  ‘hungry  ↓  men.

But  ‘different  ↑ folk   have   ‘different     ↓ views
